Cristina Gabriele is an experienced communications designer with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. Cristina also operates as a design strategist, professor, writer, artist, and researcher. She runs Heart & Noble, a contemporary jewelry label which she is evolving into a multidisciplinary design consultancy of her namesake, Cristina Gabriele Studio. She founded ACME, a women’s initiative, supporting individuals in the navigation of space and institutions, a thread that continues throughout her work at Pratt. Cristina is interested in women and power, design for good, transformation, design futures, elaborate ethnographies, and balancing the poetic and pragmatic. She worked in Visual Communication, Jewelry Design, Art Direction, Product Design, and Design Strategy for Pratt Institute, Oscar de La Renta, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel Germany, CR Fashion Book, Frog Design, Invista and was a founding member of the Manufacture New York Pilot Program. Cristina is currently teaching an undergraduate Copywriting for Advertising class at Pratt Institute in addition to operating her design studio.
